Surprise! Waves!

Whats Up Everyone??
I think everyone was pleasantly surprised this morning with some clean, fun waves in the stomach-chest high range!! It was also my first day to shoot when there are some OK waves out there. It took me about an hour to actually stop shaking and feel my fingers but I think I got some alright photos today. My raggedy-ass old 3/2 just was not keeping me very warm today.

I have to work at four today and Ill put a few pictures up now and then a lot more when I get off late tonight! ENJOY!

Lens Is Here!

Yo everyone!
Finally got my 55-200mm lens last night! Wow, what a difference it makes. I cant wait for us to actually get some waves but I could really tell a difference even on a shitty day like today. I did go down to the washout today and took a few pictures. I happened to run into Mike and tried to take some pictures of him seeing that its usually the other way around for Mike. Sorry the waves weren't good.

Ill be doing a lot of experimenting with the new lens this week so expect plenty of pictures this next week. Also Ill probably be down at The Washout taking some pictures tomorrow. It looks like theres gonna be a little bump in the water!

Cold and Flat..Not In Hawaii

Hey everyone!
Right now the real feel on Folly is a miserable 34 degrees. The lows all week are very low so expect the water temps to be dropping fast. I just walked down to the beach and there is no surf today. It does look like it is going to build a little tomorrow with sets in the afternoon up to waist high. We are also gonna be getting some windswell starting Saturday and then will be gone by Monday morning. Keep an eye on it!

Today is the start of one of my favorite surf contests, The Pipeline Masters. They are calling for a solid North swell to be rolling into the North Shore today with some solid overhead surf all day. It starts at 7:45 AM Hawaiian time (1PM East Coast) so that will be later in the day for us. Below I will attach the link to watch it LIVE!!!!!
