Windy Winter Surf

Winter winter surf in the water today. I had to work at 630 this morning and didnt get to surf in the morning but went out after work and caught some waves. Strong SSW winds as you can see in the photos. Not the best shots but it was nice to take some photos today on the beach.

I was out in San Francisco last week visiting my brother and his wife and of course I had my camera with me. Got to surf in OB and also got to play tourist all over SF. Heres a random mix of some shots from out there. Hope yall enjoy them!

Plane Flight

Whats up everyone?!? Havent posted anything in a little and wanted to put up some shots from a recent shoot I did this past week of a beach house on IOP. I hope these aerial photos are becoming a theme because I have so much fun seeing Charleston from up above. I was on a small plane this time and not a helicopter so it was a little tougher to get all the shots I got last time because of a window, wing and a beam that ran out in front of my window. I did still get some cool shots and some different angles from the last time because I was on the other side of Charleston.

I am also very sad to say that I have moved from Folly out to West Ashley to save some money this winter. I miss the beach every day and keep finding myself on surfchex right around sunset just to see the sunset at the beach (weird, i know) but I will try and get out there as much as possible when the waves are here to share some photos with everyone.

I will also be out in San Francisco next week visiting my brother and Im sure Ill have a few photos to share when I come back! Keeping an eye on the swell charts and hoping to score some big Mavericks again when Im out there!

TS Sandy: Friday Night

TS Sandy came through town very quickly with waves coming and going just as quickly. Didnt really take many photos this weekend because I had to work (til 4 Saturday) and party for halloween (I admit it, I went to Skinful and paid the price). I did manage to surf and take some photos Friday afternoon after I got off work. Took a few when I got to the pier late afternoon, surfed, then took a few more as the sun was setting. Fun, long lefts were coming through and also some short right barrels right on the southside of the pier (see Will Roper photos below). Hope you enjoy them and everyone is safe with Sandy moving up the coast. Color pics, black and white pics, long exposure pics, and even a guy jumping off the pier.
