Xmas Eve!

Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! Hope everyone got to enjoy the waves we have been blessed with these past few weeks. We have seen all kinds of conditions and yesterday was a small clean day at the washout. I took out my camera with my fisheye lens and took advantage of the clean waves and offshore winds. I love the look of my fisheye but my 35mm and 50mm lens are much better quality so sometimes its a little frustrating shooting with my fisheye.

Waves were around stomach+ with a larger set sneaking through every once in a while. Looks like we may have some more clean small waves tomorrow. I am gonna try to make it out in the water tomorrow to take some photos if its decent!

Thanks for all of the support in 2013 and I cant wait to make next year even better!

Glassy Saturdays

I know there have been waves the past few days but this is the first day Ive been able to get out to the beach. Fun small glassy waves today. I got out around 930 and the tide was high and waves were a little mushy but a few good ones would come through now and again. As the tide dropped the waves got a little steeper and had a little more punch.

Great vibe out in the water with a beautiful warm December day. Looks like we are gonna have some sort of wave for the upcoming week. Ill be around town all week so make sure to check in and see whats new!

Ankle High Nuggets!

Whats up everyone?? I've been shooting a lot recently and been pretty inspired by some of these photographers who shoot tiny waves. Obviously, this is perfect for Folly. I know I have complained to plenty of people about the lack of waves here at times. We all have.

I went down to Savannah the other day and headed out to Tybee for the sunset and moonrise at the end of the day. Out of nowhere, I found myself in the perfect spot to take these small wave photos. Im kinda hooked.

All wave shots are Folly. The full moon one is from Tybee Island.

Make sure to check out Follyhood on facebook to see whats going on.
