Hurricane Irene!

PLEASE READ!!!!!!!! First off, just wanted to say THANKS to everyone who has shown me some love from these pictures and the blog! The only thing I ask from you is when you use my photo please CREDIT ME or the BLOG. Im just trying to spread the follyhood love without having a huge FOLLYHOOD watermark on all of my photos! Thanks again everyone and lets hope we get some more waves soon.

Well, Irene definitely peaked today with howling offshore winds and double overhead waves. I took a ton of pictures at the washout and also at the pier. Tons of massive closeouts at the washout but the pier had some big waves lining up on the southside at the end of the day. Enough talk, heres a few photos to get you going. I'LL PUT THE REST UP TOMORROW(8/27).
Enjoy!
Justin

****Updated 8/27 heres the rest of them****** Not the best quality but you get the point

  1. Great Photos...it's nice to see this area finally get some worthy surf. Hunting Island on Wednesday was the peak surf day, knee high at low tide but surprised us when the winds kicked up and shifted offshore leading to clean and glassy 5-6ft with around 10 sec periods for the afternoon. Good surf without all the repercussions! Thanks Irene.

  8. If you have to jump off a pier you shouldn't be out there! Um, where are the action shots, barrels, turns and were the waves makable?
